It’s true – you can find a Youtube interview in which Billy describes in his usual colourful and positive way how he experienced meditation as taught to him by our senior order member Dhammarati.
Dhammarati said something in a talk I listened to again this weekend which struck me as both simple and profound. We can’t choose how we feel about things, situations and people but can can choose how we respond.
To me this is metta (kindness) in action – when we make a choice to respond based on our best understanding of what’s needed for the welfare of both self and other then we are re-orientating our being to be more aligned with the way things are and thereby sowing the seeds of happiness.
Please come and meditate with us this week:
Tuesday 6 – 7.30 pm chai and cacao balls as bait!
Sunday 8 – 9 am peace and happiness only as bait!
Dharmalata and Padmadakini
