Please excuse me ‘ratting on’ about my one man play (actually one man and one super cute kid) but people were asking about it and how they could get tickets last night at meditation so I offered to send out details again.
I’ll try and sweeten the deal by riffing off the central idea of the play as it grows directly out of the Buddha’s profound realisation about the cause of suffering and the escape from it.
Basically we all want. We want the things we like to be present and available and we fight against the stuff we don’t want. We crave for existence on our own terms and thereby set up a cycle of suffering.
I’ve tried to embed this idea into what I hope is an engaging and entertaining story about a dear little rat called Bodhirattva – a rat who has had a sort of awakening experience due to witnessing a traumatic incident.
Can he make the leap toward selflessness and freedom or will he be forever enslaved to the love of the cheese?
It plays Thursday to Sunday this week and you can book tickets by using this link:
