2020 has been a challenging year. As a community of practice, we recognise this and would like to warmly offer you the opportunity to be part of two special gatherings.
The general themes for these gatherings will be Connecting, Releasing, and Inspiring. During the first gathering we will have the chance to reflect on 2020, while also doing some meditation practices that help us release physical, emotional and mental tension. We will explore some practical ways to cultivate self-compassion.
At the second gathering we will make space to clarify the things that are most important to us and the intentions that we have for 2021. We’ll also explore some research-based ways to wellness, and practical ways to become even better listeners.
These gatherings will be wonderful opportunities to deepen or re-invigorate our personal meditation practice, and to connect with people who are part of Coogee meditation group. You are welcome to come to just one gathering, but if possible try to attend both because they complement each other.
Nickolas Yu will be our guest facilitator (he is an experienced meditation facilitator and coach who has played a lead role in the wide-scale implementation of meditation and coaching in NSW Health). He will be joined by Dhammalata who is an experienced meditator, Buddhist order member and co-founder of our Coogee Buddhist Community. Some other members of Coogee meditation group may also be facilitating different activities during the two gatherings.
