Two Invitations

You’re invited to our retreat centre this Saturday

This Saturday Saidie and Stav, two of our regular Coogee sangha will become mitras along with eight others from the Sydney Buddhist Centre.

To become a mitra is to take a simple, non-binding step of friendship toward our Buddhist community. If you’d like to come out to our retreat centre and celebrate with us just click on this link for details:

And the following Saturday evening you are warmly invited to join us for a film showing at the croquet club.

Mission Joy: Finding Happiness in Troubled Times

The friendship between His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu was one-of-a-kind. In this special documentary feature, join the two international icons for an exploration of how to live a life filled with joy in spite of immense challenges.

Primarily comprised of exclusive footage from five days they spent together in Dharamshala, Mission Joy invites viewers into an intimate experience of deeply moving conversations, hilarious banter, and profound wisdom shared between the two spiritual leaders. These conversations were also the basis for the New York Times bestseller, The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World.

Meditation This Week:

Tuesday   6 – 7.30  pm      Zoom and Live
Sunday     8 – 9       am     Zoom and Live

Password: Buddha

PS: We continue to pay rent to use the beautiful Coogee Croquet Club and I know quite a few have necessarily needed to join us by zoom. If you can make a donation (especially regularly) to help us continue offering what we do it would be much appreciated – it’s been hard covering costs of late and no-one receives any financial return for our meditation and study.

PPS: Huge gratitude to those of you who are already supporting us
